Life update, book slump and books

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well where ever you are in the world.

Today I am going to be talking about where I have been, updates in my life, the book slump I have been in and what books I have been reading lately.

So first big thing to update you all on is that I am pregnant with my first child. It was a rough pregnancy at first with bad morning sickness, but I have more energy, no sickness and feeling a lot better now.

I have been getting back into books now that I am feeling better and finally out of my long book slump. I was in a book slump for months, so decided to pick up some graphic novels to read, comics and shorter books which has kicked me back into my love of reading, which I am so happy about.

The book series I have been reading recently is a middle grade series called Cirque du Freak. This is a fun series with short books. The series is about a boy called Darren who goes to see the Cirque with his best friend Steve. At the end of the performance things don’t go exactly to plan and Steve tries to get Crepsley to turn him into a vampire as he knows who Crepsley actually is. Crepsley turns him down which makes Steve bitter and un happy, what he doesn’t know is that Darren has heard and seen everything. Many things happen which leads to Steve being in the hospital fighting for his life, and Darren has to make a choice, let his best friend die, or become a half vampire to become Crepsley’s assistant. Of course he cares for his friend so much that he agrees to become a half vampire. These books show you the journey of Darren the vampires apprentice as he goes on lots of journeys to try and change his destiny.

Its a fun little book series which actually made me fall in love with reading again, as to ease myself back in, i need something quick to read, full of adventure and just a fun book, and this series hit the spot perfectly.

I am now currently reading The Fifth Witness by Michael Connelly, I am currently 35 pages in, but its very interesting and I want to see how this unfolds and what happens. I then have a plan to finish a couple of books that I put down before my reading slump, they are, The Secret Crusade by Oliver Bowen, and a Doctor who book called The Clockwork Man.

I hope you enjoyed this update and I hope you enjoy whats to come in terms of TBR’s, reviews, and just fun blog posts. What is everyone reading or what tv series they are enjoying right now. Let me know in the comments and I will see you in my next blog post .
