The Place That Never Existed by Jim Ody

This book from the beginning drew me in, I wanted to know what was happening and why.

We follow Paul and Debbie on their honeymoon. As well as the little scenes of the characters that stumble across a old abandoned house and get killed.

Paul and Debbie’s honeymoon is going great untill they go to explore a seemingly abandoned house in the middle on nowhere. Suddenly a van pulls up so they made their escape quickly, but they can hear screaming and yelling from within the house they were just in. It was ment to be empty, but now something wrong and bad is happening and they dont know what to do.

We also follow teens who come across an abandoned house, which rumour say is haunted and scary. But soon enough, once they go in there, they dont come out alive. But when the police tell the parents their child has passed away, they don’t tell them the truth of how they died, they say that they simply fell off the cliff, suspicious or what??.

Later on in the book we get a crazy ex element as well as finding out what the dodgy police were hiding.

The ending was shocking, I never saw that twist coming at all. It added so much more to the book and a fun aspect to it all, I loved every moment of it.

It was written so well that I could picture every character and what was going on, and I was so hook, wondering what was going to happen next.

5 out of 5 starts from me.
