Evermore by Alyson Noel book review

This is the first book in the immortals series, and this is a series that I have wanted to read for a very long time, and I am so glad I managed to pick up the first book to read.

This book is about a teenager called Ever, who’s life gets turned upside down when a tragic car accident takes the life of her parents and younger sister.

Every since that day she can now see how people feel and here what everyone thinks, she thinks of herself as a freak and tries to block out and drown out the world, with only her few close best friends.

One day a new student turns up and has everyone head over heels even Ever, though she would never admit it, his name is Damen. Ever soon realises Damien isn’t like the rest, she cannot read his mind like everyone else, and when she touches him everything goes quiet, he is like her own personal off switch. She can’t stop thinking about him, soon their paths collide over and over, and soon they can’t get around each other, but Damen is very mysterious and confuses Ever with mixed signs, she doesn’t know how to fee, and she doesn’t know how he could possibly know all that he does, how she can’t read his mind, how he vanishes into thin air, there are so many questions that she wants to be answered.

Throughout this book we see their friendship grow and develop into something more. So many secrets become unhidden and twists and turns start to evolve making this an amazing book that I just couldn’t put down.

I love the way this story developed and how many secrets we unveil and find the answers to so many questions. I loved how the author built each and every character, and how invested i got in them all.

The ending left me wanting more, wanting to know what will happen next, so I can’t wait to read the next book to find out what happens.

I highly recommend this book. What’s your favourite genre of book? Let me know in the comments below and I will see you in my next book blog x
