Slave, Warrior, Queen by Morgan Rice

This is the first book i have listened to as an audio book and i loved it.

I loved how it opened and how it was such a powerful punch and combat at the beginning, it drew me in from the beginning.

This book is about a girl called ceres, she has loved combat and always admired the combat lords which fight to the death in an arena, she has always wanted to fight like them, she would dress up as a boy to train with them and see how they fight and move, but she can never become on, only men are allowed to fight.

She turned 18 and her father left as they were poor and he got a job for another lord to make swords for him. Before he left he gave her her birthday present of a beautiful sword, but when she went home her mother was there with a man, her mother was trying to sell her to a lord, her mother didn’t like her, she did not want her, so sold her.

Ceres helped out other war lords, watching them fight, giving them advice and what weapons to use.

Later on in the book we get to know more about the rebellion and what is really behind the combat lords and warriors.

This was an amazing free book, i highly recommend it, it such a strong and powerful book, I was so hooked i couldn’t stop listening to it, wanting to know what was going to happen next.

I can’t wait to read the next book to know what happens as it left me wanting more, and needing to know what happens next.
