Legend by Marie Lu, Book Review

Pages: 305

Published date: Novermber 29th 2011

Blurb: What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic’s wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic’s highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country’s most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.

My Review: Wow this book was amazing and gripping from the start. I loved how it was set in the future and about goverment secrets. I loved the main characters and grew close to Day and Tess. I was shocked so many times with this book, especially when terrible secrets get uncovered. I could not put this book down as I wanted to know what was going to happen next. The ending left me wanting to know and read more, and I cant wait to buy and read the next book in the series. I hated the goverment in this book, as they were so manipulating and cruel to the poor people in the world, whilst the rich got everything and more. It has been my favourite book this year so far.

My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

I hope you like and enjoyed this book review. What book would you recommend me to read next? Let me know in the comments and I will see you in my next blog post x
