Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard Book Review

This book was action packed and a very fun read.

In this world there are two different types of people, the reds and the silvers. They are know as this for the colour of their blood. The silvers rule over the reds as the silvers have powers and the reds don’t. The silvers are rich and treated like royalty, but the reds are poor and treated more like salves.

We follow a girl called Mare who is a red. She goes to one of the tornaments after she lands a job of a servant. Once there she sees the battles commence. The silver who wins will marry the prince.

Mare gets in great danger and falls onto the electric wall that surrounds the battle ground, and everything changes there for her forever.

The silvers take her to the palace to hide her away from everyone for her secret.

She gets stripped of her past and has to pretend to be someone new.

There is also a rebelion of reds out there that want to take down the silvers and be classed as equals and not below the silvers.

This was a great read. I loved the action, the mystery and the secrets that unfold.

I loved the idea of the 2 different kinds of people and learning all the powers of the silvers and how they use it.

The ending was the most shocking moment. I had so many emotions going through me. I can’t wait to buy and read the next book as i need to know what happens next as it left on such a cliff hanger.

I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars on goodreads. As it was never slow and the writer kept me keep reading.

I hope you enjoyed this review, if you did please leave a like. What book are you reading at the moment? Let me know in the comments and i will see you in my next blog post
