The Selection by Kiera Cass Book Review

This was a unique concept to a book. We follow a girl called America as she enters the selection. The selection is this game almost, where girls are chosen from different casts. The higher your cast number the richer you are.

The girls who are selected try and win the hand of prince Maxon.

Her family are excited that she entered the selection, but after a bad break up America isn’t. But she does it for her family as she knows they need the money as they are one of the lower casts.

America and her family were so shocked to find out that she has been selected. She never thought this would happen and she don’t really know how to feel about it.

She and the other girls then get taken to the palace where they all will be staying with the queen, king, and the prince.

America find some friends within the girls and some she has to watch out for as they have a nasty streak.

We follow her on her journey through her meetings and dates with Maxon and her lessons to learn how to be a proper lady.

She has very mixed feeling about the whole thing as she don’t really know how to feel and what her feeling are towards the prince himself.

The kingdom is still at threat by the rebellion who try to raid the palace to get to the king as they are against all they stand for.

This was a fun light hearted read with an edition of shock, mystery and a hidden love triangle happening.

I loved her writing style as you could picture everything that was happening and it never one was slow or boring.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes drama, romance and hidden mystery.

I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars on goodreads.

I hope you enjoyed reading my review, if you did please leave a like. Have you read this book, if so what did you think?. Also feel free to recommend any books to me and I love finding new books to read and I will see you in my next blog post.
